There’s a few bits of good news from the Microsoft Windows Live SkyDrive team today. First up, the free online storage is increased five times over the old one-gigabyte offering, bringing you up to 5 GB. Additionally, the service is no longer limited to the U.S., U.K., and India: effective today, there are 35 more areas where you can have a SkyDrive. The file storage and sharing service also has some performance updates which should make the whole cloud-experience a little more sunny. You’ll need a Windows or Macintosh computer with Firefox 1.5 or higher, or Internet Explorer 6 or higher in order to use the free service. If you’re on the go with connectivity but need a place to park some protected data, you might want to give it a try.(via Digital Inspiration)
