Sprint Mogul gets EV-DO Rev. A update
Got a Sprint Mogul? Your download speeds are about to get a wee bit faster and uploads should be noticeably quicker thanks to an update for your Windows Mobile phone. The long awaited EV-DO Rev. A support is finally here according to the company. I don’t see the update yet available on the HTC support site for the Mogul, but I’d keep an eye out for it later today.Although I’m on Verizon Wireless, I’ve seen a tremendous difference in my overall bandwidth once I had Rev. A support. Don’t get me wrong: Rev 0 was nice, but now I’m generally averaging 1.5 Mbps down and 700 kbps back up. Speaking of Verizon Wireless, when will the Mogul’s identical twin, the XV6800, see the same Rev. A support?

Until the HTC mirror servers (hooray Akamai… not!) are fully propogated, here is the direct download link from HTC:

Incidentally, Engadget is incorrectly reporting that this update doesn’t contain GPS. It definitely does enable GPS.
HTC has not published this link or instructions, but here is the link to the Rev. A and GPS upgrade.
