Chris, we used a different and less robust solution up to now. Going to jkontherun.com prior to this change got you here, but the address bar would have shown the blogs.com address. That was just a simple redirect / fowarding. However you find us, we’re glad you’re here.

BUT YOU KNOW GUYS would you believe, I am using JKONTERUN.COM for about 2 or 3 weeks now. And it works before. I wonder when you did the changes.. Yes I run it by mistake jkontherun.com and it works…- since 2 or 3 weeks back..

I just wish Typepad’s Captcha wasn’t so slow.

But you *still* have to deal with the CAPTCHA Mike. Seriously, this shouldn’t have any impact. All content (old and new) is accessible with *either* the jkontherun.blogs.com permalinks or the new jkontherun.com naming. Having the “blogs” in our URL has caused some people not to be able to reach the site as many companies are banning any browsing to URLs with the word “blog” in it.

Mike, it should not affect you at all. There is a sophisticated redirect taking place no matter which way you come in so don’t complain. The only reason we wanted to point this out is because as you know on the web redirects don’t last forever, although this one might. Just enjoy, it won’t affect you I am certain. That’s the only reason we undertook this.

This might screw people (OK, eejit me me me!) up. You should stop posting under the old URL and start all new stuff over there (here? looking at URL bar — see, I’m already bollixed!!!). And eventually have a redirect.
