Coffee break – EV-DO Rev. A and Hulu play nicely together

Coffee_manI don’t know why I haven’t tried this before but I finally got around to using Hulu with my EV-DO Rev. A modem on the UMPC. I realize that Hulu isn’t straming super high-quality media, but it’s more than good enough for watching content. What about on the run, though?

My concern was that the video would have hiccups over 3G, but I’ve scored a coup: I’m able to watch Firefly and I snagged a comfy chair at the Starbucks. I just might celebrate with a second cup of coffee, even though I haven’t done that since watching the movie "Airplane!"

  • Nice picture of “Firefly”. Simply one of the best Sci-fi series produced in the last 10 years.

My opinion of you just reached new heights.

  • I agree. Living out of the path of civilisation they didn’t show the film or tv series over here. My only option at the time was to download them, which I did. However, when they were made available on DVD I still bought the series and the film because I liked it so much. I know this doesn’t really have anything to do with your article but I just want you to know that I’m a good guy really.
