jkOnTheRun video- Tour of Mobile Tech Manor
OK, I’ll be the first to admit that this short video is a dry run using the new photographic lighting to get familiar with the best way to set it all up before I make some important video reviews shortly. That aside I am always getting asked what Mobile Tech Manor is like and what might be in it at any given moment. For those who are not familiar Mobile Tech Manor is where I do what I do every day and where I play with all the cool gadgets that I get to play work with. This video is a little tour of the Manor and you’ll see everything I am using currently. I also show a few items that are sitting in the review queue so you get a preview before I show them off. Join me for the tour of Mobile Tech Manor and enjoy the show.

all that & you dont show the HP?!?!
hey you combed your hair, you look AT LEAST 2-3 weeks younger.
O_o… Wow. There is almost more tech than room. All great stuff! I just have one question, how do you like the HP 2710? I was going to get one, but ended up buying a fujitsu T2010 instead (arrival TBA).
I have noticed that you are not posting to mobile media edtion. I like being able to subcribe to itunes and it to just show up.
Thanks,
JHall
Nice digs. Do you live in a mobile/modular home?
/manufactured home?
Hey JK, you touched quickly on your iPod Touch, what earphones do you run your music through?
I have recently bought a pair of Etymotic ER6i noise cancelling earphones to use with my iTouch, when you get them sealed the music reproduction is fantastic, and i say when you get the sealed, this was i bit of a challenge if you are not use to deep in ear phones, it got to a point that i was not enjoying the experience! in haste i contacted Etymotic head office over in Illinois and was greeted by a super lady Moe who dealt with my issue in a proffesional manner, during our conversation she recommended the newly designed Blue Tip ER6I-14SM, and kindly put a set in the post over to me in the UK, on arrival to my surprise she had also included the rest of the eartip range for me to sample FOC, What a result, getting back to the blue tips she recommended, they are fantastic.
They fit perfect and seal first time, every time! I have taken them out and replaced them a number of times now and I am getting the same fit every time! And the music experience is completely different from when I was using the other tips, don’t get me wrong when I got them to seal the sound was good, but with the blue tips the sound is GREAT. I have even found that I have had to reduce the volume on my iPod Touch.
Not only do I have the best earphones on the planet, I now have the best sounding earphones on the planet.
Hope you are feeling better JK? keep up the good work.
David UK
I will be very interested in your opinion of the HP Elite camera
You’ve got an OQO!! Why do you never talk about the best mobile device ever??
Thanks everybody. The 2710p is a great Tablet PC and I like it very much. I do not live in a mobile home, it’s a real house. We try to post these videos to the MME when we have time, we rarely do. I use the Ultimate Ears headphones with the iPod Touch and love them. I am looking forward to trying the HP Elite web cam. I talked a lot about the OQO when I got it months ago.

Mobile hommes aren’t real? LOL
Sorry couldn’t resist this Saturday morning…
So I decided to catalogue all the gear in the video that I were identified (and also some things I spotted that I remember from previous posts). Unfortunately as I don’t have x-ray + temporal vision, I’m missing all the accessories in the bags. Also, I might have confused long-term review with ownership. Anyway, check the list; hopefully I didn’t miss anything (but I probably did)

James,
If you do not have time to post to Mobile media edtion could you post to Blip.tv so the videos can be downloaded and watched later. YouTube always degrades the quality of the video.
Thanks,
Jhall
Awesome video. Am I the only curious to see what’s behind the window??
Man, I don’t know why someone is squawking about the quality of that YouTube vid. It’s *gorgeous*. I’m typing this in Safari (on XP) right now. Been trying this version for the past half hour and it is jaw-dropping FAST. Makes Fox seems sclerotic, arthritic, and constipated! And YouTube vids also play so much better in it too!
Anyway, I spoke to God. And he said to dispatch that OQO to me tout suite, since all you do is set it up to pose and gaze at it! Heh-heh.
Geez, I did *not* know you had that Apple Bluetooth keyboard! Talk about it some more. I can’t get one to fondle because, you know, people would walk off with the damned things at the Apple Store, so they don’t have even one out. I was just marveling at the thin keyboard for the iMac this morning. And if someone hacks the BT stack on the Touch to make it work with that BT KB, you **MUST** try it. I long for that to happen. Maybe Apple will deliver an Xmas-in-June gift of that?
The new lighting is great! Really improves the vids.
Hey, was that a MedicAlert bracelet on your left wrist?
Thanks for the kind words everyone. Mike, the Apple keyboard is great! It doesn’t look like it would be good for lots of writing but au contraire, it is great. But, the Touch has no BT so no go for that idea.
I do wear a Medic Alert bracelet, have for 20 years. I am very allergic to penicillin and it’s important in case of an accident for example. I am also diabetic so I’ve put that info on the bracelet too.
who makes that sliding mobile workstation table?
Solomon, it was a gift from my wife several years ago but I think it came from Frontgate.
DUH! I’d forgotten the Touch lacks BT. All the more reason for you to ditch that Blackberry and get an iPhone. ROTF…
