Vista 64-bit SP1 upgrade underway

Lo and behold this afternoon Windows Update informed me that SP1 for 64-bit Vista Ultimate was available for the evaluation HP tx2000 Tablet PC and it’s downloading now. I’m going to install it and see if maybe the missing Microsoft application support has been addressed. Keep your fingers crossed.

Don’t expect SP1 to solve your problem. I’ve been running it for a couple weeks on my desktop system and “Send to OneNote” still isn’t there.

Send To OneNote needs a driver from the OneNote team not the Windows group.

OneNote is such a fantastic piece of work, and the OneNote team seems so innovative and responsive. I just don’t get this.

HP sells this with 32-bit Vista. What differences would one see running a 64-bit system with 32-bit Vista, besides Send to OneNote? Anyone know?

OneNote use a fake printer driver to make ”Send to OneNote“ work in Internet Explorer, etc. For some reason they have not build a x64 version of the driver.

The reason they cant use the fake printer driver on x64 is driver signing, so thats why theres none yet.

After over a year of not supporting their own software the reason that there’s no driver is moot.
