So I’m working away in the coffee shop and Windows Update just flagged that an update is available for the HP Mini-Note.  I popped WU open to see what it was and believe it or not it is Vista SP1.  I’ll install it tonight and see if it makes any difference.  It’s only 65 – 438 MB according to Windows Update.  :)

  • I was offered Vista SP1 Saturday. Installed it and have noticed no difference, yet.

  • Vista on a mini-note? Gack, you’re crazy not to downgrade to an Nlited XP install. Enjoy your two minute boot times.

  • My HP Mini (Vista Business) used to boot in 70-75 seconds. I installed SP1 and it now takes over 2 minutes…

I found this site searching live.com for a solution. I may need to uninstall it if that is possible. I took a slow computer and made it slower :<

I can not go back to XP so am looking to sort these issues out.
