This mobile news tidbit sat around my desk for the past few weeks, so you may have caught it elsewhere by someone covering CTIA. The folks at Monsoon demonstrated a Nokia N800, N810 software client for their HAVA hardware. HAVA is similar to the Slingbox as it can capture, encode and send digital media signals over the Internet. With a HAVA box, you can watch and control your home television, DVR, cable or satellite box remotely. Sling Media doesn’t yet have a Nokia Internet Tablet client, so this one from Monsoon looks to be going after that market.Since you need a reasonably fast wireless broadband connection, the HAVA client for Nokia Internet Tablets is likely going to work best with a 3G phone. Of course, the WiMAX edition of the N810 ought to work really well in a service area also. Check out how nice the interface is for touch in ThoughtFix’s video right here.
