I have had the 2710p as my replacement work laptop for the last two months. (Replaced my loved 1st Gen MacBook Pro when it went to Apple for repair.)
My first tablet and the experience has been amazing, love to ink, happy to type. Really pleased with the flexibility. I was upset at leaving OSX but the funtionality of Vista on this tablet is amazing.
I firmly believe that this moves me into a two device situation not two computer. I carry my 2710p and my iPhone thats it. Nothing else.
I have yet to find anything that the 2710p cannot cope with, the size is perfect if I need more than 2 minutes use then I get the 2710p if I need to make a note and thats it then the iPhone gets used.

I have been a gadget freak for a very long time and this is the first time that I am content, I am not looking for anything, not hunting out a replacement phone/laptop. I have achieved a level of contentment. At least with hardware, the software story is different

PS. Massively off-topic, anyone know where to get a cross capless in the UK?

anyone care to elaborate on the 2710p's ability to cope as a one laptop setup? anyone have particular difficulty having it handle your daily tasks?

Philip: I think I saw you there - at least I saw someone with 2710p. I also saw TWO people with HTC Advantage / T-Mobile Ameo - I never before saw more than one in the same room!

I spent a few enjoyable hours in a Starbucks just off Oxford Circus on Wednesday. I had my 2710p, which I take everywhere, and carried out a combination of research, emailing, blogging and reading.

I can't remember when I have enjoyed roaming more. The setting up was smooth, the logon (to T-Mobile UK) instant, the sheer pleasure of the writing experience was immense.

(I reckon the experience will be even better in future. I snagged plug points this time but, while I was away, my shiny new extended battery arrived.)
