More about the Samsung SGH-D880 DuoS, I was able to play around with one for a bit over the weekend. It has 3MP, Bluetooth, microSD expansion but only supports tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE [900/1800/1900] it seemed fairly easy to use both SIMs and had a very nice screen. It's about PhP 12,000.00 approx. USD 290.00 and that's unlocked with no contract.

The USA seems to be lagging behind in the unlocked phones ,sim cards, ect.
I guess the top providers has there thumb holding it down as it will cost them.

Here in the Philippines, there are a lot of 'China' mobiles which do dual SIM [both SIMs active at the same time] they are quite cheap but the build quality is not so great.

Samsung has a dual SIM phone which has both SIM cards working at the same time. I think their the 1st big manufacturer to do it. IIRC it's called the Samsung SGH-D880 aka DuoS
