Hi Ken,

if you have downloaded the Evrnote Software, there is indeed an offline mode, that syncs all your notes to your device. I do have to say that after first installing it, Evernote took some time to in me over. But now I think it is truely one of THE killler apps that I have EVER ;o) used. The ability to clip webpages or just little snippets/ pictures and access them later via the search is absolutely great, if for example you want to archive an extensive internet search for later reference. There was a post on here some time ago that discussed possible copyright concerns / giving away rights over your material, so I don't realy use it for my own docs. It also comes in very handy for quickly archiving something for my thesis and via the search function recovering it handily.

Hmmm.
I tried Evernote and was disappointed, especially due to all the accolades you are giving it.

I installed it at work, and just couldn't get it past the firewall. So, it it looks like it will do nothing for me at work. (Unless there is an off line mode I could not find.)

I tried it at home, and tinkered with it, but I guess my heart was not in it, since I will not be able to look at anything while at work.

My portable device is a Dell Axim x51v, which I cannot get onto the internet with while at work. But, I use this heavily for all sorts of things. I have been using Textmaker for taking notes, but started using bLADEwiki.

I found bLADEwiki (http://bladewiki.site.io/Download.htm) which is great offline, and is small and powerful. I have not done much with it, but it has a desktop version that can sync with web content (not sure how that part works).

Let me know if I'm missing something with the off-line options of EverNote.

PS:
Thanks for the great work you guys do, even though you're extreme in your mobility [at least compared to me].
