solomon, I like the weight, size and battery life better on the 2710p and P1620.

Ummmm, USE? the tablet? No, try IT’S MINE!!! bwahahahahahaha!!!! I love it. The keyboard is much easier to use than the Lenovo. I like the fact that the CD/DVD burner is part of the computer. Now I don’t have to lug the computer AND docking station around. I like the screen resolution. It’s much brighter and clearer. And, well, the speed…….what can I say? You are SO not getting this back!

hey there. i finally took the plunge and purchased my first real tablet pc. i got the hp tx2000 and this thing is incredible. inking on this is great. i dont know what i was thinking in using a umpc for inking. $836 with my discount from my employer. great bang for my buck. i don’t know why anyone would want the 2710p if they are on a budget. the tx2000 has a real 2.5″ notebook hard drive @5400 rpm with capacities up to 320GB. the tx2000 also has a dvd drive.

So James I you have me sold on the 2710p but my mind says I’m too cheap so could you spell out the divide between the tx2000 for us who are too cheap to shell out for the 2710 ? Also would the either of these benefit from 4 gigs ram.

Still sitting on the fence.

My other reason for waiting is the perennial churn of new products coming down the pike so it makes me antsie to buck up for the 2710p.

I noticed that you have some very long term evaluation units. Lenovo has also partnered with the Gottabe mobile. Is the evaluation units from Lenovo a permate evaluation or did they do somthing like a business lease?
