I don’t know exactly how things work in Apple-land, but maybe in the future an Apple Authorized Service Provider would better serve you. When I have problems with my notebooks, I go straight to a service provider and don’t bother with tech support. When I speak with technicians in person, they don’t follow scripts or make me jump through hoops. They recognize when I have done troubleshooting and take my diagnoses seriously. I get my problems resolved quickly.
