eReader celebrates 8th anniversary with 25%-off sale storewide

EreadersaleCan you believe that Fictionwise has been in the eBook business for eight years? Since 2003, their eReader platform has been my favorite digital content solution for books due to the solid software that runs on practically any device I own, plus their excellent DRM system. It’s not that I like DRM, but I’ve found eReader’s method to be the most effective since your content is tied to the credit card number used for purchase; and you can easily reset that card number if you close the credit account. To celebrate this milestone, the eReader store is offering a 25% storewide sale through June 1st. That means you’ve got 10 days of savings on all purchases. Just use the promo code HUGESALE when you checkout and you’ll save a bundle!

  • Hey, Kevin, Fictionwise is a comparative youngster if you consider that MemoWare, the original repository for mobile device content (including free e-books in various DRM-free formats), has been around since 1996.

  • Kevin, they’ve actually been around longer (originally at Peanutpress.com). My oldest purchase is 5/17/2001, bought for reading on a Palm V

  • My bad, I read the article and saw 2003, not thinking 8th anniversary makes it 2000.
