Just some friendly advice, have your alternator checked. There is chance that your alternator is not recharging your battery and that is why it died. On the other hand, if the battery was the original battery, then it probably just gave up the ghost and the new one will be just fine.

Car makers tend to stick to the common sizes of batteries, so it is not really that surprising. It’s not like there are different connections or voltages you have to worry about, just the fact that it fits in the space.
