Firefox 3 releases today; get it early if you know where to look

Mozilladownloadday

Maybe I’ll hold off just a few hours on the official Firefox 3 release. That should help the Mozilla folks with their Guinness Book of World Record attempt for the most downloads of a program in 24 hours. If you’ve been running a release candidate of Firefox and just can’t wait, the executable files are up on the Mozilla FTP servers right here. Hmm… I wonder if I can grab it from the FTP site now and then download it later just to help those Mozilla folks out? I think I just might… Firefox is helping out in a big way with my web-only challenge: today begins the twelfth day without using client applications.
