Firefox 3 is ready to carry around in your pocket

FirefoxportableeditionJust because the standard Firefox 3 client is getting all of the hoopla, and deservedly so, let’s not forget about the version you can carry in your pocket. That’s right, you can have the whole Internet in your pocket with Firefox Portable Edition. For the uninitiated: this is a version of the popular web browser that you install on a USB flash drive. This allows you to run Firefox on any PC simply by popping in the USB drive. Your entire Firefox environment is with you, including extensions and bookmarks. Even better: none of your browsing history or data is left behind on the PC. This version was updated just two days ago and should be the same as the full client version that officially launched on the same day.
