Gadget p0rn: the VIA OpenBook goes topless on camera

It doesn’t get any more "open" then cracking the cover of VIA’s OpenBook reference design, does it? James and I had the pleasure of meeting Tim Brown at CES earlier this year and Tim shows off the flexibility of the OpenBook in this three-minute vid. With so many multi-connectivity options available on mini-PCI express cards these days, it’s nice to see the OpenBook offer two slots to accomodate these. One is full-sized and one is half-sized as Tim shows, but even the smaller of the two can handle WiFi, Bluetooth and A-GPS. That leaves a full-sized interface for integrated HSDPA, EV-DO, or WiMAX as needed. Nice!
