so if you dont need power these Atom based mini-desktops are a far far better solution by saving considerable energy & costing much less.

Intel is about to take over the only market VIA has ever owned, all because VIA was to lazy to produce a new chip & is still making people use their old C3. me & other people involved in the silent efficient desktop community have been excited about Atom & the upcoming dual core Atom for quite some time, up until now crappy VIA has been our only option.

Ok so I had a little free time and read the Engadget post. MSI is saying 720p only. It’s a step in the right direction. I think it would be perfect for running spyware for young children.

My little brother and sister love to load up any computer they touch with spyware. At least spyware will only use 60 watts now. O yeah they browse a few interconnected tubes called the internet as well. They don’t need powerful machines. Between the two of them they would be using 60 watts instead of 500 watts. Not sure what that relates to in dollar amounts, but it must amount to something.

Media server makes sense.

I would love a media server that is silent and only sips on 40 watts or less. It must be able to handle 1080p video and have HDMI though. I doubt this one will, but I can dream. Until then I will be happy with linux on a PS3.
