Smallest notebook with optical drive?
Small notebooks just keep popping up all over but what sets the Vye S41 apart from most is the optical drive. I believe the 7-inch Vye S41 may very well be the smallest notebook with an integrated optical drive which some find to be critical for their needs. The S41 is also a convertible notebook meaning the screen will swivel around so the device can be used as a slate tablet which no doubt contributes to the $1499 price tag. Vista Home Premium is loaded which I believe means that the tablet bits are integrated making the S41 one of the smallest tablets around. The specs are pretty sweet:

My Question of the Day: What’s the smallest notebook with a decent graphics processor (e.g. not Intel Integrated)?
Don’t need to spend $1,499 on this model…
Only $1,181 at Conics as Kohjinsha SR8 or get the Kohjinsha SX3 with 8.9″ display for $1,085….
But isn’t Vye just a re-brand of Kohjinsha?
Ahem… this machine “popped up” in a story about small laptops in the July edition of Money magazine (a print magazine that “popped up” in my mailbox some time about a month ago).
@Jennifer,
Yes, Vye is just a re-branded Kohjinsha…
But is it fast enough to run bloatvista. Thats alot of money to spend to find out if Vista works.
The SX3 looks most interesting.
Kinda like a Libretto u100 with a tablet touch screen.
What would be perfect is an active digitizer.
