Roboform now compatible with Firefox 3

Roboform_logoOne of the most indispensable utilities I use on the Windows platform is password manager Roboform Pro.  I have been using it for years and it turns logging into web sites into a no thought process.  There’s not a Mac version and I really miss it when I use my MacBook Pro as it is much better than 1Passwd.  I depend on Roboform so much that when I upgraded to Firefox 3 and found that Roboform wouldn’t work due to compatibility issues I almost considered downgrading back to FF 2.  I hung in there though and doing without Roboform has been a royal pain in the butt.   I decided to see if there is a new version of Roboform that would work with FF3 and am thrilled to report that the latest version (6.9.90) is indeed compatible!  I installed it and it works just find and dandy and I am happily auto-logging into websites once again.  If you’ve been suffering like I was go grab the update now.  You Roboform folks, please produce a Mac version of the program and we’ll be BFF.

  • I actually love the RoboForm software myself. I use it all of the time and it takes all the menial everyday tasks that I have to perform on my computer daily and shortens them extremely! What once took me fifteen minutes to complete now takes me only one second because RoboForm does the same task with just one click. In fact I wrote a Report about a lot of RoboForm’s capabilities for use that aren’t even touched on in the User’s Manual for RoboForm. You can get that Report here:

  • Here’s a better alternative, if you want to check out the features for Roboform and want to try it out go to Roboform’s Official Website: http://www.roboform.com

Also, I’ve been RoboForm Pro for a while myself as well; it’s awesome. Though this maybe new “news” to some, the updated Roboform for FF3 has been out for some time for those who normally check for Roboform release updates.

  • I’m another addicted Roboform user. It’s particularly handy that it allows me to share passwords across multiple browsers and multiple PC’s.

I’ve usually found that if you visit their forums, they have updates available for new browsers much earlier than through their auto update service. They had version compatible with most of the FF3 beta’s, and had compatibility with FF3 on launch day.

  • But what about Tab Mix Plus? Until that’s available I’m stuck with memory hogging FF2.

  • This version of Tab Mix Plus has been working great on FF3 on several different machines:

Dunno why it’s not an official release yet.

Now if the Evernote 2 clipper would get updated, I’d have my most important ones covered.
