Speed is king

I just redid the test, got 30 more kb/s download, and 2 kb/s upload.
Checked with another server, and got a slightly higher download.
But, they’re all pretty close.

97000 kbps down, 1700 up
Nice! My up is a just a hair over 3000 with Comcast but the down looks more or less the same. Business internet rocks.
Just out of curiosity, what is it that you download that you have to have 30 down connection? Or to ask another way, why wouldn’t a 3 down dsl speed work?
I don’t do any xxx or p2p, and the dsl speed I have at the moment is fine for my needs. However, I’ve been given a smoking deal from u-verse where I live for a new 10 down connection, but it has to get approved first by the WAF. Some insight James?
FIOS has been available to me for about a year now but I haven’t bothered to switch because I’m quite satisfied with my Cox Cable service.
Although I only get a “speed” test showing a download speed about one third of jk it is VERY VERY rare that I find a server that will let me download files of any substantial size at a sustained rate that even comes close to maxing out my supposed download speed.
Apples servers seem to be pretty speedy but even they don’t let me download at anywhere near my max speed.
My speeds are like 6543 Down and 2493 up… im slow. I use Insight tho

There is nothing like around here. How do you get that?
This is my standard Comcast speed at home.
I think this might be the CVT (Comcast VIP Turbo,) or am I wrong?
Very nice!
You have me beat:

I don’t know what Comcast calls it. It’s the $60/ month service.
Dang, that’s friggin’ light speed!
I get a measly 1455 up and 9503 down…
Putting a new HATE on Kendrick.
Just wait til I finally get FIOS.
One of these days.
Probably Knievelday.

Here’s a benchmark of a FIOS 15/2 connection:

And yes, this kind of speed is really sweet!

Woooooooooooow is all i can say !!!
WOW! That upload speed matches the highest bandwidth my Slingboxes uses. I only wish I could get that level of service here in NYC. I could use the Slingbox anyway and get my TV as though I were on WiFi at home.

Does that $60 include cable TV?
