WakooparesultsCurious how my "cloud-computing" challenge is going? You’ll want to tune in to a video interview that I’m doing tomorrow with Ian Dixon. Ian asked to do a podcast about my web-only experience and while he will have the audio interview available as a regular, audio podcast, we’re also going to do this over live video. Ian will be running the video on his Yahoo! Live channel and you can catch it tomorrow, July 15th at 3pm EDT. It will be 8pm for folks in Ian’s neck of the woods in the UK; you’ll have to convert to your local time zone of course. Here’s some help in that area if you need it. ;)

Just a quick update that I’ll touch upon tomorrow of course: checking on my Wakoopa numbers, in the month of June (not counting the first 6 or 7 days), I used Firefox for 98% of my computing time. Yowza! Of course, I used a number of extensions, which is why I can’t wait for Mozilla’s Weave product to take off; that way I can use various devices and still have all of the same functions available. By the way, Yahoo! Live actually fits into my challenge… it appears to use Flash and my web browser to control the web-cam and microphone. Sweet!

  • Hi there! You must know this already, but just in case you don’t, take a look at http://itredux.com/office-20/database/ It’s a nice collection of web 2.0 apps that you can use on the cloud. The author (Ismael Ghalimi) have been trying this very same experience for a while and shared some thoughts on his blog itredux.com.

    Regards!
