In my home office, where I spend most of the day, I use an inexpensive dual WAN router (Linksys RV082) with a DSL connection on WAN1 and a cable connection on WAN2. I also have a backup EVDO data plan on my cell, in case of a prolonged power outage. I can't even remember the last time my internet went down, and I live in Florida, the land of 1000 storms!
