I just heard from the good folks at Fictionwise that the next version of eReader for the iPhone is with Apple and should be released in a matter of days.  The eReader app is my most used application on the iPhone, I’ve read six books since getting my iPhone just a couple of weeks ago.  I am excited about this update as an already great program is getting even better with this update:

  • download ereader PDB from any website from within the app. This works for any site that actually has links to PDB files, such as manybooks.net
  • option to lock screen orientation
  • option to reverse video
  • option to tap instead of swipe for page turn
  • option to turn off page animation
  • sort by author or title or download date in bookshelf
  • a few bug fixes and minor improvements here or there

These changes are things I’ve wished the original version could do so I am glad to see them already making it into the program.  Fictionwise also told me that the next version after this is just a few weeks away.  Boo-ya!
