Voicemail gets visual on Verizon’s Voyager

VerizonvisualvoicemailThat LG Voyager on Verizon’s network just got a little more iPhone-like. Visual voicemail is now appearing on the VZW website and that means you can have it appear on your Voyager handset too. The product page shows that the application will cost you $0.00 for a monthly fee and $0.00 on a per use basis. Sounds good, but I haven’t seen an official announcement for the service just yet so those zeros might change on us.

Aside from the basics that visual voicemail offers, I see some nice features in this implementation:

  • Save up to 40 messages for 40 days, or archive them  permanently.
  • Create 10 different caller-ID based greetings.
  • Reply via Voice Mail, text, picture or video  messaging.
  • Forward via Voice Mail, text or picture messaging

While the product page shows that only the Voyager is supported, it wouldn’t surprise me to see this app eventually working its way on to some of the newer LG phones soon. You know… like the Dare and the Decoy that James is looking at.
