HTC still plans to release Android phone in Q4
In spite of Google’s recent problems getting anywhere with Android and the possibility they have driven off some of the developers handset maker HTC is still planning on releasing the first Android phone in Q4 of this year. HTC has long been rumored to be working on the HTC Dream handset and this announcement is interesting to say the least since no one can determine how far along Android has come in the development cycle. It will be cool to see an Android phone from anyone and HTC has a good shot at being one of the first if not the first so we’ll see come Q4.

Several folks have already given Android a little run on their HTC Titans (aka Sprint Mogul).

Its still a little rough but further along than I expected. Its promising, especially the browser.
I reckon we’ll see s60 and Android merge into one open source OS for phones to compete with Apple.
This will be about right as I’ve made a pretty firm decision to pick up the Touch Pro if it’s out when I visit the UK later in the month. Guess I’ll just need to hope, that given no leaps in technology, I can upload an android firmware on the Pro.
