I was dragged kicking and screaming into 39 in the middle of winter – I’ve always wondered if it would be a happier experience to do it during warm and sunny summer weather rather than in the dark and frozen no-man’s land of February. It must be nice to spend a birthday not worrying about dropping dead at the foot of the driveway with a shovel in your hand!
