Amazon Watcher notifies you of price drops, restocks
I’m visiting a brand spankin’ new Starbucks in Royersford, PA this evening and it sems to check out OK. Yes, I have a personal Quality Control checklist… it’s a little cooler in here than the 77.2 degrees I prefer, but they’re within acceptable tolerance levels. One of the first things I did once I got settled was to hit up Amazon. It’s a safe bet that our XM account is going bye-bye but I need a charger and car mount for the iPhone. I saw a decent one from Kensington in the Apple store, but I figure Amazon can beat the price. Sure enough, they did although it was only by $3. I’m in no rush, so I may wait a few days to see if the price becomes lower. Enter Amazon Watcher: a free app that monitors Amazon for you.
This software works on PCs or Macs and you can easily configure notifications. The app can shoot you an e-mail upon a price drop or restock of an item, which is handy when you’re on the road. If you don’t want to be bothered ordering, just config Amazon Watcher to automatically order your item if a price target is hit. I’ll be careful before doing that… I’m afraid I’ll end up with 100 iPhone car charging kits by accident.

Nothing really to do with your post except I noticed the location of your Starbucks du jour. My son helps run the bookstore at Ursinus College in Collegeville and used to live in Royersford. By the way, you guys are my primary stop every day in tech land. Enjoy your posts and all the information I find here.
What, no cloud app?
