Hp_2530p_under_nda_until_august_18HP has announced a 12-inch uber-thin notebook, the 2530p.  I got a chance to play with this thin baby recently at the HP offices and I am very impressed with the portability of the 2530p.  The 2530p features Centrino 2 technology so it’s got really good performance and is available with either the ULV or LV processor option giving you the choice of performance or battery life.  The 12-inch screen displays at 1280×800 and you can outfit the 2530p with either a 3-cell, 6-cell or 9-cell battery.  I was extremely impressed with how light and thin this baby is and I would love to get my hands on an evaluation.  The 2530p can be configured with an internal optical drive which is pretty cool for such a small notebook.

  • I just bought a 2510p refurbed for $699 after tax and it rocks. I love the LED screen as the laptop screen is so freakin bright, even at half brightness.
