  • Come on up to Austin. Eat some Thai food, hear some music in the wind and rain.

  • 2-3 foot over on our high tides here. In Florida. This thing is a monster. Stay safe James.

  • MT, unfortunately, my wife is at work and all 3 kids are at their various schools so we’re not going anywhere. We’ll have to ride it out here and hope for the best.

  • Thankfully you are situated in Northwest Houston, safe from what is shaping up to be really significant storm surge in the Southeast city quadrant.

You probably have been eyeballing Ike from weather sites and know that this monster is going to come ashore with really bad manners. I would set a can of WD40 on the porch, just as an offering or act of defiance.

Wishing your family and friends maximum safety and resilience.
