Blogging Ike- power is being restored!
Centerpoint Energy tells us that the damage causing our power outage is being repaired already. They claim it will be back on within the hour which if true is incredible. The storm is not really here yet so this is phenomenal. Fingers are all crossed on my street.

In your first post about Ike, I advised that I was prepped and ready to go (from Reliant Park). I am now actually in Sugar Land with at some friend’s house. While most of the power, from watching the news, has gone out in Sugar Land, we’ve been fortunate to still have it on (knock on wood). We actually had our power come back on and off about 5 times. The worst of hurricane is yet to come.
the hurricane hasnt even hit yet, so why would they fix your power? when it does hit it will knock it right back out.
besides i heard the crews wont even start going out until sometime tomorrow once the winds have become safe again, and even then their 1st priority is hospitals & businesses.
