I saw Notepad 2008 so I installed it and had a play around with it. Looks good except for the useless RC1 tab. Lots of people use MSInfo to do there nfo's with, in basic notepad right click and open with notepad to see the info. With this 2008 modded notepad it does not recognize or open the text in MSInfo nfo's. This also applys to Wordpad 2009 modified by the same person. Final words looks good but doesn't function the way I need a notepad to operate. 7 for looks 5 for functionality. When a new notepad comes out I give it a test run. I find Notepad++ to be the best text editor. It doesn’t do fancy fonts, but it is very powerful with folding and tabs, and free.
