Luscious, I split time at the home office with work on the road so the 5GB cap doesn't come into play unless I use EV-DO for bunches of media.

James, although the AT&T plan includes access to AT&T WiFi hotspots, it's not a good option for me. Coverage in my area is too spotty to be relied upon, so it's not an option. AT&T can give me free WiFi for life, but if I can't use the 3G service where I need to, it's not a solution. for others that live or work in a good coverage area, it's well worth consideration.

You have 39MB in 90 minutes, that means 100MB in 3.75 hours or 5GB in 190 hours of access or 40 hours/week roughly. If you download movies, OK, but for normal use, it seems reasonable.

Hey James, have you considered getting a ATT 3g aircard? Because with the aircard you have access to all ATT wifi hotspots for free with help off set the 5g cap (starbucks, mcdonalds, barnes and noble and airports). You also have the that benefit with home dsl or uverse.

James, have you ever hit the 5GB during the course of a month of use? Rough math tells me that would be about 170GB per day, or 6 hours if I go by your mileage.

I'd feel limited with only 6 hours of internet use per day if my job involved working online while on the move. What do you say?

We get the same question several times a day. Decided a while ago to write an article that described what 5GB amounts to:

http://www.EVDOinfo.com/5GB
