At 9″, I feel the top priority is feature/asthetic/price. At 10″, the top priority is obvious the better keyboard.

Although I chose Wind for OSX competibility.

I have to say the new “Wind 2″ is quite disappointing.

Acer still takes the top two spots with the Aspire One and the Macbook takes the rest of the top 5. The EEE 10 inch makes an appearance at spot 6. Is it possible that the market either wants 8.9 inches or 13? Would a 13 inch EEE sell better than a 10?

Although I’ve already purchased the 1000H due to the lack of the 6 cell battery option on the Wind here in the UK, I would be quite interested to hear your comparisons.

My only real complaint of the 1000H is the fan noise at times, its not loud by any stretch of the imagination but it can be audible.

I’ve got a 2GB RAM module arriving today so I may also install Vista and see how the Asus performs.

How is this a “deathmatch”? Is the Wind a 1000h “killer” or vice versa? I didn’t think so. I’m seriously confused. Your comparison doesn’t even pick a winner. I’m fine with this because I don’t think that there actually is one in this case. But “deathmatch”? Why? It’s of the same vein as the “Breaking News” alert that all of the 24 hour news channels now use to constantly remind of news that is no longer breaking.

My wife ordered a Wind yesterday and it will be here early next week. Since I have a 1000h and my wife kindly gave me an option to choose one, I will have my own round of deathmatch.
By the way, as many of you know already, netbook can be got pretty cheap at eBay when combined with Live cashback promotion. Current offer is 30%, so my 6 cell 160MB Wind cost only $350.

Heh. I’m just excited about netbooks. Part of me thinks that if everyone would get on board there wouldn’t be a recession cause we’d keep finding new things to do with them and new reasons to spend money!
