Opera_mobile_2Opera Mobile 9.5 is the best mobile browser for the Windows Mobile crowd and the second beta version has been released.  The new version adds widgets and speedier page loading and sounds like a good improvement over the first beta.  This is the first version of Opera Mobile that adds support for the Symbian platform so those of you with Symbian UIQ phones should go get it.

The widget support is cool and five widgets are installed to get you going: Twitter, AccuWeather, a clock, Shopping List, and a game called Bubbles.  The new beta makes adding other widgets fast and easy.

  • Working great on the HTC Advantage! Seems faster than ever and I like the interface.

  • And STILL no version for S60. I bought my E90 almost a year a go now, because I knew that Opera Mobile 9.5 would be released “shortly”, and I would have a nice browser for it. Now I´ve had that beautiful 800 pixel wide display, and not a single decent browser to make use of it.

For the life of me, I can´t understand what´s taking Opera so long. I´m in Oslo, so maybe I should go knock on their door and see what the holdup is.
