Very Nice. Between the G1 touchscreen and that awesome MacBook trackpad try not to wear your FINGERS out ! Maybe you can put some kind of wax on your fingertips so your skin doesn’t rub off. hee hee
Oh, I almost forgot your iPhone, another finger magnet. You probably need some more fingers or learn to alternate between both hands. I wonder if all this finger stroking will create another medical condition like carpal tunnel syndrome ?
Don’t know if you have 3G coverage in Houston, but I would be interested in “real world” performance versus the iPhone.
I noticed CNet did a quick real world side-by-side browser test in their SF office and the G1 punked the iPhone pretty bad (by a solid 8 seconds). This is shocking to me. They tried to blame it on iPhone user saturation in the SF area compared to the new T-mobile network with fewer users.
Oliver, I was reporting what was appearing on the web and if T-Mobile is delivering pre-orders after the phone is available in stores then they do need to improve.
Cool!
I’m very jealous JK (I’m not just kidding either)
What happens when you hook the G1 upto a PC? Mass storage or mass windows confusion?
Jeesh, James.
I’m so envious of your tech toy selection.
I look very much forward to your review! Esp. since I am trying to decide between the G1 and iPhone.
Lucky one! I ordered one last week but still do not have any tracking information on my order!

I call fake. I’m holding up a piece of paper the same way you’re doing.
Just kidding. Enjoy it! We need the unboxing now!

yawn…
Whaa.. weren’t you just a few hours ago suggesting that T-Mob needs to bone up on pre-ordering techniques?
