Turn a Nokia Internet Tablet into a wireless keyboard and mouse

Brighthand caught this interesting tidbit that might be useful to Nokia Internet Tablet N800 and N810 owners. BlueMaemo is a beta application that turns your Nokia Tablet into a usable entry system for your main computer. Using the Nokia touchscreen, you tap and drag just like you were using a touchpad. The BlueMaemo software enables your device to control the mouse on a host computer and enables text entry.

While not an ideal, full-time entry system, it sounds and looks usable in a pinch. BlueMaemo works uses the HID Bluetooth profile, so you’ll obviously need Bluetooth support on your host device. Currently tested and working computers include those running Windows XP SP2/SP3, XP Media Center and Vista. BlueMaemo also works with Linux BlueZ.
