At long last crackberry addicts can make cheapo VoIP calls on their Blackberries as the software is now available in beta for that platform.  Om Malik gave it a spin and found it to work pretty much as advertised, although the service is tied to a single device so he’s had to open new accounts for each phone he tests it on.  He says the calls sound clearer than traditional cell phone calls so it sounds like Truphone has gotten the technical part right.  GigaOM is offering the beta for the first 100 commenters on Om’s post about Truphone so if you want to get in on it go over and shout out loud.  You’ll also find out why Om found the Blackberry version of Truphone to be better than the iPhone version.
