My current home office
I have settled into a final configuration of my home office, Mobile Tech Manor to many, and when I saw Xavier of Notebooks.com had posted his work area I felt it long overdue for me to do the same. It took a while to get a good layout for my furniture and gear but it’s pretty much final now. The configuration is a typical L-shape with cords and cables all over the place, something not too uncommon with us geeks. Maybe we can talk Kevin into posting his home office? Here’s a photo of the jkOnTheRun Gulf Coast Bureau with more after the jump:
Main desk L-R: MacBook Pro 17", MacBook 13", Canon LIDE 500F scanner, T-Mobile G1, iPhone 3G
Side Table L-R: Canon iP1800 printer (back), Telenav Shotgun (front left), HP 2710p, Kensington mouse, Plantronics Pulsar 590E headset (hanging in front)
Conf. table: Lenovo S10 netbook

Just recently you were bemoaning the loss of wireless USB may you should do some testing on these http://www.engadget.com/2008/11/06/cables-unlimited-wireless-usb-kit-replaces-wires-with-dongles/
I hear ya Bryan but the big culprit in my office is not USB cables rather power cables. I look at just the main desk in those photos and I have 8 devices that have power adapters and cords. Those are just plain huge and the only real way to deal with them is an installed organizer which I’m considering.
I will gladly trade my larger office for your smaller office, as long as you take my wife and her crafting supplies also.
She seems to feel that since I’m semi-retired, I don’t need the same space to conduct my affairs in. It should also be noted that her dedicated crafting space that takes up about an 8oo sq./ft. room.
LOL That’s quite a conference table you’ve got there James! I can see those big meetings happening…
Mind you, your setup is still better than mine over here at the Sunset Beach Division… LOL
Remember, always tame those cables!
Speaking of the 2710, what ever happened to the 2730 you were going to review? I read the reviews at gottabemobile but I was looking forward to yours since you used to use the 2710 so much.
