I have thought lots about the possibilities of this as well, but there is one snag for iPhone use. Without background apps, you would have to have the program open all the time rendering it almost useless.

Push notification doesn’t really help, as the developers servers don’t have access to your GPS location.

Might have to go to android for this kinda stuff.

You can also download the browser add-on which finds every address on a page and places a zhiing logo next to it. Click on the zhiing rings and a utility window opens with that address. Send that to yourself or someone else of where to meet later.

Launching next month will be a send to phone feature that any business, service, or personal website can implement at no cost. Users will have the same experience as if they had the browser add-on installed. A sample can be seen on the footer of the zhiing.com page. Custom branding on the utility window is an option.
