@pete, such as not using our phones as primary devices? :P

I know what you're saying as Eric said with laser keyboards plus add in foldout screens and other technologies to make a small device act bigger.

Those are my thoughts too Shane! I have to admit, I hate using my iPhone for internet. I will when I'm in the car or on a plane. for this mobilization to take place, we are drastically going to have to changed the way we think about mobile phones. The way we interact with the device will greatly change also. I'm sure the three biggest gripes about using cellys for internet are user input, i.e. keyboards, speed, and screen size. Look at it like this, either phones will get alot bigger, or we're going to start seeing some really cool gadgets; laser keyboards, intelligent voice recognition, vr, etc.

I haven't read the report yet but my first thought is "Good grief, I don't *want* my phone to be my primary Internet connection"

I suppose they may sway me based on their reasoning but I can't see why I'd want to browse the web on a tiny screen when I could easily have an 8-10" laptop/netbook + 3G modem to achieve the same effect with less frustration.
