Gdium Netbook

It seems like everyone’s got a netbook to show off, although we haven’t found Gdium’s yet since the show floor isn’t open until tomorrow. That’s not stopping EMTEC from pinging us with the deets though:

  • LCD screen 10″
  • Resolution 1024 x 600
  • Mandriva G-Linux
  • CPU 900 Mhz 64bits Loongson™ 2F by STMicroelectronics
  • RAM 512MB DDR2
  • Removable storage 8 or 16GB Flash G-Key
  • WIFI 802.11 b/g
  • 3 USB 2.0 ports (one used for the GKEY)
  • SD/ SD HC card reader
  • One VGA output
  • Sound card
  • Video card Silicon Motion SM502, 16 MB RAM
  • Ethernet RJ45 – 10/100Mbs LAN
  • Speakers / microphone
  • Webcam
  • Multi-finger touchpad
  • Extended keyboard
  • 4 hour run-time
  • Dimensions 250 x 182 x 32mm & 2.6 pounds

I like the G-key concept: use the device and pull the key to take all of your personal data with you. Around $400.
