Verbatim ExpressCard SSD for Macs, PCs Provides Continuous Backup
Verbatim helps prove that there’s no lack of new storage devices at CES. Going with the ExpressCard form factor, they have new SSD devices in 16-, 32-, and 64-GB hitting the market next month. The 34mm modules offer 125MBps reads but only 30MBps for writes, so don’t try any fancy OS booting on these. What you might consider is using the included NTI Shadow software for continuous backup purposes. Watch for these at $99.99, 149.99, and $299.99, depending on the capacity.
And to think I used to use Verbatim 5.25-inch floppy drives on my Commodore64. 
Actually, this could be a very nice add-on for one of those netbooks with an ExpressCard slot, like the Lenovo S10.
64GB seems paltry for something the size of an express card, especially if stamp-sized SD cards hit 2TB within 2-3 years.
A better option I think is to boost capacities of small USB thumb drives, since the express card slot serves far better uses than internal storage.
