LOL... I should actually read the posting on the computer after I read it on the iPhone to make sure I didn't miss anything. Dell is selling the notebook for $99 [not the $350 I initially read which was the discount, not he cost] just like Acer, so I would pay the upgrade subsidized price instead of full price $449. How do the specs on this thing compare to the AAO? It is a smaller SSD, less RAM, but a standard 4cell battery. I have never owned a Dell, how is the build quality compared to the AAO?

Again, you are not required to keep the SIM in the computer. If you are eligible for an upgrade, use it as a subsidy on the computer and then simply take the SIM card out and put it back in an USB modem. Of course this is only good for those of us that pay AT&T regardless and actually utilize the DataConnect package. Writing these (subsidized notebooks) as $99 notebooks for $1540, etc... is misleading at times because yes, if you don't need/use the DataConnect you are better off just buying the device outright. However, if you already have the service and use it, you aren't actually adding any cost to your budget. Now, in this case I might just be inclined to pay the full price, but on the AAO it was a no brainer for me since it was only $99, further reduced from the retail cost with the subsidy.
