Mobile Tech Minutes: Freeware Adds Expose´ Function to Vista

Today I’m offering a short video look at a free application called Switcher. It’s for Windows Vista devices and only those with Aero functionality enabled. Switcher adds another useful way to navigate around through your active applications. There’s a Tiled view that reminds me of Expose´ in Mac OS X, a Dock view and a simple Grid view. One keystroke combo is all it takes and you can also assign that combo to a mouse button.

In trying to keep the video short, I neglected to show off one excellent feature pictured below: when Switcher is activated, you can simply start typing the name of a window. The software will immediately narrow down the applications that meet your typed search criteria so that you can quickly find the window you’re looking for.

  • so with Vista i assume that means its compatible with W7 also? you should probably always test for that now as it seems everybody (MS, devs) is trying to get W7 pushed out the door ASAP.
