Count me another guy who wants a proper keyboard! Love the screen but make me a clamshell version with keyboard (yeah, I realize it would need to be thicker).

James, you said 'almost'! I want them all! Actually, my phone doesn't have any type of touchscreen but it has all the things I listed. :)

I can't wait for Windows 7 phone edition.

James,

akihabaranews is reporting that NTT Docomo will pair up with Toshiba to release a windows mobile phone. It will have a 1Ghz processor. This sounds like the phone you are talking about. The picture also shows "Tokyo" as one of the time. Could this be a Japan-only release. :(

What's more important is, where's the proper keyboard?

I'd rather have the resistive touchscreen, anyway. With a capacitive one you can't have: Cut and paste, a removable battery, a proper keyboard, unlimited apps, stereo bluetooth, Java support, MMS, video recording, file transfer, FM tuner, memory card slot. :)

I actually prefer resistive since I can still use a stylus when I need to, and let's face it... Windows Mobile often requires it.

Anyway, I notice some of the pics taken by the Electric Pig site very clearly has "Qualcomm 3G CDMA" printed on the side of the device, so now I'm REALLY hoping it comes to the US.

Bring this to Sprint!! Why must every cool phone be HSDPA? Just because it's more common doesn't make it better! Maybe I'm just bitter about how bad AT&T and T-Mobile suck.

It has the look of the iPhone with much better specs and the usefulness of Windows Mobile (meaning I can easily overcome the Win Mo annoyances).

"The question now: Is it resistive or capacitive? I’m hoping for the former, but sadly guessing the latter."

Are you sure you got that the right way around?

If you're hoping that it's like the iPhone then you want a capacitive screen. If you're hoping that it will support a stylus and handwriting (and as a result suit the Asian market well) then you want resistive.

Personally I don't care if this is Europe only because I live in the UK :) Now to choose between this and the Touch HD and whether to wait for WinMo6.5 or WinMo 7.
