BlackBerry Storm GPS Usable with My Location, Latitude in Google Maps
James will be happy to hear this news, although I suspect a collective “woo hoo” will resound from other BlackBerry Storm owners as well. The latest and greatest version of Google Maps for the Storm takes advantage of the handset’s internal GPS radio.
Google says the My Location function, as well as their new Latitude service, are far more accurate as a result. Storm owners can simply point their browser to http://m.google.com/maps to download the latest version. Sadly, no other BlackBerrys on Verizon’s network gain this support with the new software.
Woot! It sure is more accurate using GPS.
