Cisco releases GIST for Windows, BlackBerry, iPhone- check network speeds
Cisco knows a few things about web speeds and has produced a utility to help us keep track of what our bandwidth really is. They have released the Global Internet Speed Test (GIST) for Windows, BlackBerry and iPhone devices. The utility is free and can be used to see if a given web connection is good enough for browsing, streaming music and/or streaming video. You can get all of these device versions at the GIST web site.

I downloaded the program and gave it a try, but it kept crashing. ( I am using xp tablet sp3)
I will keep using speedtest.net
