Boston Power long-life batteries now sold by HP
The long-life notebook batteries by Boston Power first came under our scope last year. The company produces batteries that hold 100 percent of their power over 1,000 charge cycles and are thus a good alternative to keep notebooks powered for a longer time over their lifespan. They are also better for the environment since batteries that last longer mean fewer are potentially disposed of.
Boston Power should be excited by the deal they have inked with HP, as the giant notebook maker now has the long-life batteries available under the “Enviro” product name. HP is offering the Enviro batteries for 18 of their notebooks and is giving a 3-year warranty with them. This is good news for Boston Power and great news for owners of HP notebooks. The $149.99 Enviro batteries are only around $20 more expensive than traditional notebook batteries. They’re available now on the HP online store for the following notebook models:
HP Pavilion dv4, dv5, dv6; HP HDX 16; HP G50, G60, G61, G70, G71; Compaq Presario CQ40, CQ45, CQ50, CQ60, CQ61, CQ70, CQ71

I would definitely spend $150 if I had an HP notebook.
Battery is very important to mein a long term investment such as a nice notebook, considering how fast regular batteries deteriorate anyway.
wonder how long will it take before other companies begin to adopt this new kind of battery
Too bad there’s no 12-cell. Would work great with a LED dv4.
